Los chicos de Blender, el popular programa de modelado y creación de gráficos tridimensionales que se distribuye gratis bajo licencia GNU, están a punto de lanzar la nueva mejora 2.44, que posiblemente incluirá, entre otras cosas, el subsurface scattering, una nueva opción de "render" de materiales capaz de simular la piel, el mármol,  la leche y otras texturas.

La nueva mejora también corregirá varios bugs y será una versión más estable que la actual 2.43 hasta la salida de la 2.50 prevista para finales de este año.

La versión para Mac requiere de Python 2.3, un PowerBook G4 (como mínimo) y el Mac OS X 10.3 o superior. También existe una versión para Mac basados en procesadores Intel.

Adobe acaba de lanzar una nueva versión en inglés de Adobe Illustrator. La versión en castellano del Adobe Illustrator CS3 estará lista para junio según señala la empresa en su web.

La actualización del popular editor gráfico vectorial tiene un precio que va desde los 288,84€, IVA incluido, y la versión completa de 834,04€.

Algunas de las característica añadidas a la nueva versión incluyen la integración con Adobe Flash, herramienta de borrado, un nuevo panel de control, entre otras.

Requiere un procesador Power PC G4 o  Intel, 512 MB mínimo de memoria RAM, 2.5 GB de espacio en disco, una resolución de 1024x768 con una tarjeta de vídeo de 16-bit y el Mac OS X 10.4.8 o superior.
